General Conditions

All flight services operated by Islands of Loreto – Heli Tours are subject to the following terms and conditions. By confirming a reservation, each guest acknowledges and accepts these terms.

Reservations and Payments

All reservations are subject to aircraft and crew availability and must be made at least 48 hours in advance. A booking is considered confirmed only once full payment or a signed service order has been received. All prices are expressed in U.S. Dollars (USD) and may be paid in Mexican Pesos  (MXN) at the exchange rate in effect at the time of payment.

Unless otherwise agreed in writing, 100% of the total amount must be paid prior to departure. Rates include aircraft, pilot, fuel, insurance, and applicable permits. Ground transfers, extended waiting time, and additional services are not included unless specified in writing and may result in additional charges.

Check-In and Documentation

All guests must check in no later than 30 minutes before the scheduled departure time. Failure to comply may result in flight cancellation without reimbursement. No-shows at the time of departure are non-refundable.

A valid government-issued photo ID is required for all passengers aged 18 or older. Foreign passengers must present a valid passport or immigration document prior to boarding.

Cancellations and Refunds

Cancellations made more than 24 hours before the scheduled departure time will not incur any charge. Cancellations made within 24 hours of the scheduled departure or no-shows will result in the full fare being charged and are non-refundable.

If a flight cannot be operated or rescheduled due to factors beyond the client’s control—such as adverse weather conditions or operational restrictions—a new date will be offered without additional cost or a full refund will be issued within 7 business days.

Itinerary Modifications

Requests to modify the route, time, or destination must be made at least 24 hours in advance and are subject to operational approval and aircraft availability. Any modification may result in additional costs if it affects flight duration, logistics, or landing permits. Same-day changes are not guaranteed and will depend on weather, safety, and airspace conditions.

Ground Time

The helicopter returns to its base immediately after completing the contracted service unless extended ground time has been previously arranged.

Ground time must be requested at least 48 hours in advance and may incur additional fees related to airport usage, waiting time, or permit requirements.

Passenger Requirements and Weight Limit

For safety and weight-balance purposes, all passengers must provide their approximate body weight at the time of booking. Guests may be weighed upon arrival. If the actual weight exceeds the declared limit or compromises aircraft balance, boarding may be denied or rescheduled at the pilot’s discretion.

The maximum individual weight limit is 300 lb (136 kg) per passenger. Guests exceeding this limit may be required to purchase an additional seat.

Children

Children two years of age or older must occupy their own seat. Children under two years of age may travel on an adult’s lap, provided that a valid passport or birth certificate is presented. Minors under  18 years of age must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian, and all minors count as one passenger for weight and seat capacity purposes.

Luggage Policy

Each passenger is allowed one (1) carry-on item up to 10 kg (22 lb). Any excess or oversized baggage must be disclosed at the time of booking for prior approval and load evaluation. Items not declared in advance may be denied boarding to ensure safety and proper weight distribution.

Weather and Operational Conditions

All flights are subject to weather and operational conditions. The pilot in command reserves the right to delay, modify, or cancel a flight if safety may be compromised. If a flight is canceled due to weather or external factors, the client may reschedule at no additional cost or request a full refund with no penalties.

Passenger Conduct and Safety

Passengers must follow all crew and pilot instructions at all times. The consumption of alcohol or controlled substances before or during the flight is strictly prohibited. Failure to comply with these rules may result in flight cancellation without refund.

Smoking is not permitted onboard or within the immediate vicinity of the aircraft.
